From vegconomist.com

Green REV Institute, the first vegan think-tank in Poland, with the support of Vegan Grants and in collaboration with leading European and global NGOs, announces that the third edition of the European Vegan Summit 2024 is to take place online between September 17-19.

Described as the “very first event of its kind in Europe […] where activists, politicians, business people and academics meet on one stage,” the European Vegan Summit 2024 is aimed at interested investors, vegan start-ups, businesses, policymakers, NGO representatives, and academics. The summit will feature 12 thematic panels in the form of discussion sessions and conversations with guests from around the world.

Speakers will explore the dynamics of vegan businesses in Europe and globally, analysing market structures, marketing strategies, the role of government and policies, food and HoReCa industry trends, and the interconnections of various sectors. The summit underscores the significant role of the private sector as a driver of change in the food industry.

This is the change we need

“We believe it is high time to start connecting the dots between the world of human rights, environmental rights and animal rights. It is impossible to create a modern nation and develop competitive economies without changing the food system. Only an economy without animal exploitation can provide the answer to the challenges brought by climate catastrophe,” says the organisation.

“Do not be afraid! This is my message to politicians. We need a change of the system, the change the politicians are gatekeepers of, the change our planet, consumers, and people in rural areas need so much. EVS is about this change. Do not be afraid,” urges Dr. Sylwia Spurek, lawyer, founder of Green REV Institute, former deputy ombudsperson, and former MEP.
