From peta.org.uk

The 2025 festive season has brought us some of the best vegan supermarket Christmas food yet. Festive feasting has come a long way – from classic nut roasts to showstopping vegan roast beef and turkey and indulgent Christmas pudding – all without the cruelty. Enjoying a traditional vegan Christmas dinner doesn’t require any unnecessary effort, either. All it takes is a trip to your local Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Aldi, M&S, Morrisons, or Asda.

From “turkey” crowns to shimmery chocolate snowflakes, here are the best vegan festive foods to try in 2025.

Best Vegan Christmas Food to Try in 2025 – Supermarket Round-Up

Supermarkets have stepped up their game when it comes to plant-based Christmas food this year, offering a diverse range of options for every cruelty-free eater. Whether you’re a vegan meat fanatic or prefer to keep it old school with a plate of tasty vegetable-led dishes, there really is something for everyone. We’re calling it: this year’s Christmas vegan food line-up might be our best yet!

Please note: all products are available while stocks last, and items may not be available at all supermarkets.

Tesco Vegan Christmas Range 2025

This colourful wellington will brighten up your Christmas table

For traditional Christmas dinner enthusiasts, Tesco has relaunched its Plant Chef No-Turkey Crown with Sage and Onion Stuffing for the 2025 festive season.

Each year, millions of turkeys are killed for Christmas dinner in the UK. But there’s nothing festive about plopping a dead bird on the table. Here’s a better idea: Tesco’s cruelty-free turkey is made from pea and wheat protein and comes complete with a sage melt and herb crumb. It serves four and makes for an excellent centrepiece – with no animals harmed.

Elsewhere at Tesco, you’ll find the Finest Roasted Vegetable and Cranberry Star, a gorgeous main that will instantly make your table more festive. It features roasted butternut squash, roasted parsnip, dried cranberries, and chestnuts, all wrapped up in a star-shaped puff pastry. Veg fans will also enjoy the Finest Roasted Butternut Squash Wellington, a colourful mix of layered vegetables in a pastry crust.

No Christmas dinner is complete without vegan pigs in blankets, and Plant Chef’s Meat-Free Bangers in Blankets offer all the taste without the cruelty that comes with eating pig flesh.

For dessert, opt for the Finest Free From Dark Chocolate and Cherry Festive Wreath.

Morrisons Vegan Christmas Range 2025

The supermarket’s Free From Honeycomb Snowflake is truly a showstopper. It consists of a hefty chunk of tiffin made with dark chocolate, honeycomb, and shortbread, finished with a bronze shimmer that’ll have your Christmas dinner table sparkling.

You’ll also find all the usual contenders at Morrisons: including No-Pigs in Blankets, a No-Turkey Joint with Onion and Herb StuffingMushroom Chestnut and Parsnip Wellington, and even some Maple Roasted Chestnut, Cranberry, and Orange Stuffing Baubles that go perfectly with vegan turkey.

Top tip: for nut roast enthusiasts, the Butternut Squash, Chestnut, and Cranberry Wreath makes for a beautiful and tasty centrepiece.

If you haven’t already guessed, these crunchy chocolate treats are distinctly reminiscent of Maltesers, and they look like little festive baubles. Fill up your trolley: they’re the perfect stocking filler.

Meatless Farm launches ‘restaurant quality’ vegan sourdough pizzas

From veganfoodandliving.com

Meatless Farm has launched two new vegan sourdough pizzas, offering a healthier, meat-free alternative to takeaways

Plant-based brand Meatless Farm has added two exciting new vegan pizzas to its range, aiming to offer a healthier, plant-based option for pizza lovers.

With the new Ham & Mushroom Style and Spicy Pepperoni Style Sourdough Pizzas, Meatless Farm promises a convenient, satisfying solution for those seeking a quick, plant-based treat.

Now available in Sainsbury’s, these new additions aim to deliver “restaurant-quality” flavour and texture, making them an appealing choice for anyone looking to cut back on meat without compromising on taste.

Priced at £5 each, the vegan pizzas feature hand-shaped sourdough bases, rich tomato sauce, and toppings inspired by popular meaty flavours but with less saturated fat than their non-vegan counterparts.

Meat Free-zer Fillers in Morrisons

In addition to the new plant-based sourdough pizzas, Meatless Farm is refreshing its range of frozen meat alternatives, with its updated Meat Free-zer Fillers available in Morrisons from 7th October.

Priced at £3 per pack, this revamped collection includes Beef Style Meatballs, Pork Style Sausages, Quarter Pounders, and Beef Style Mince, offering versatile, allergen-free options for quick and nutritious meals.

In a statement sent to Vegan Food & Living, Meatless Farm’s Brand Manager Lydia Brook emphasised that the brand has focused on using high-quality, plant-based ingredients to meet the demand for “flavoursome, plant-based foods that replicate the taste, texture, and nutritional content of meat.”

“With quality a priority, we’ve focussed a lot of time on perfecting our ingredients, for example, using high protein meat substitutes with less saturated fat, but no less flavour,” Brook said.

The brand is particularly proud of the improved Beef Style Meatballs, which Meatless Farm says now offer a more realistic texture and taste that it believes could rival real meat.

With eye-catching new packaging, the upgraded range also benefits from larger product sizes, providing even more value for money.

A fresh start for Meatless Farm

Founded in 2016, Meatless Farm remains committed to offering delicious, environmentally friendly options for vegans, vegetarians, and flexitarians alike.

After being rescued from administration by VFC in 2023, Meatless Farm joined VFC under Vegan Food Group, a collective of plant-based brands aiming to revolutionise the market.

Now part of a growing movement towards plant-based eating, Meatless Farm continues to offer products that replicate the flavour and nutritional benefits of meat, while being kinder to the planet.

The brand’s recent innovations and product expansions demonstrate its dedication to encouraging more people to switch to plant-based diets.

As Lydia Brook put it, the versatile ranges offer “an environmentally friendly solution that tastes great,” helping more Brits make the switch for both health and environmental benefits.

Meatless Farm Launches Two New ‘Meaty’ Sourdough Pizzas

From plantbasednews.org

Meatless Farm is expanding its line of plant-based pizzas

Meatless Farm has announced the release of two vegan meat pizzas in UK supermarkets.

The British plant-based brand, which was saved from administration by the Vegan Food Group (VFG) last year, offers a wide range of popular meat-free meals and products.

Now, it’s added Ham & Mushroom Style and Spicy Pepperoni Style Sourdough Pizzas, which it says is in response to skyrocketing demand for plant-based pizza. (Google searches for “vegan pizza toppings” have grown by 70 percent in the last 60 days, according to the brand).

As well as the pizzas, Meatless Farm has also revamped its frozen range, including Beef Style Meatballs, Pork Style Sausages, and Quarter Pounders. The meatballs have a new recipe, and the sausages and quarter pounders have increased in size.

“Our new Meatless Farm product ranges have been created to cater for the growing demand for flavoursome, plant-based foods that replicate the taste, texture, and nutritional content of meat,” Lydia Brook, Brand Manager at Meatless Farm, said in a statement. “With quality a priority, we’ve focussed a lot of time on perfecting our ingredients, for example, using high protein meat substitutes with less saturated fat, but no less flavour. We’re especially proud of our Beef Style Meatballs, which we believe are not only the best tasting meatballs in the plant-based-sphere, but also the meat-sphere!”

The pizzas are available from Sainsbury’s stores, while the upgraded frozen items are in Morrisons.

Meatless Farm saved from administration

In June 2023, Meatless Farm made headlines after it was announced that the company had entered administration. In an email to investors at the time, founder Morten Toft Bech said he was “devastated and heartbroken over the situation.” He explained that the company was “doing well,” but that some investors had decided not to invest further.

Later that month, however, VFG (which was then just VFC) confirmed that it had acquired the brand.

“We firmly believe that this development will yield considerable benefits for our valued customers, suppliers, and consumers,” VFC CEO Dave Sparrow said at the time. “Please rest assured that our collective leadership and all team members are wholly committed to maintaining business as usual.”

A few months later, VFC became part of the newly-formed VFG. The group, headed by VFC founder Matthew Glover, owns vegan brands including Clive’s and TOFUTOWN, as well as Meatless Farm.

“VFG is poised to be a leading force in the plant-based sector,” Glover previously told Plant Based News. “We’re not just participating in the market; we’re leading the movement.”
