Meatless Farm launches ‘restaurant quality’ vegan sourdough pizzas

From veganfoodandliving.com

Meatless Farm has launched two new vegan sourdough pizzas, offering a healthier, meat-free alternative to takeaways

Plant-based brand Meatless Farm has added two exciting new vegan pizzas to its range, aiming to offer a healthier, plant-based option for pizza lovers.

With the new Ham & Mushroom Style and Spicy Pepperoni Style Sourdough Pizzas, Meatless Farm promises a convenient, satisfying solution for those seeking a quick, plant-based treat.

Now available in Sainsbury’s, these new additions aim to deliver “restaurant-quality” flavour and texture, making them an appealing choice for anyone looking to cut back on meat without compromising on taste.

Priced at £5 each, the vegan pizzas feature hand-shaped sourdough bases, rich tomato sauce, and toppings inspired by popular meaty flavours but with less saturated fat than their non-vegan counterparts.

Meat Free-zer Fillers in Morrisons

In addition to the new plant-based sourdough pizzas, Meatless Farm is refreshing its range of frozen meat alternatives, with its updated Meat Free-zer Fillers available in Morrisons from 7th October.

Priced at £3 per pack, this revamped collection includes Beef Style Meatballs, Pork Style Sausages, Quarter Pounders, and Beef Style Mince, offering versatile, allergen-free options for quick and nutritious meals.

In a statement sent to Vegan Food & Living, Meatless Farm’s Brand Manager Lydia Brook emphasised that the brand has focused on using high-quality, plant-based ingredients to meet the demand for “flavoursome, plant-based foods that replicate the taste, texture, and nutritional content of meat.”

“With quality a priority, we’ve focussed a lot of time on perfecting our ingredients, for example, using high protein meat substitutes with less saturated fat, but no less flavour,” Brook said.

The brand is particularly proud of the improved Beef Style Meatballs, which Meatless Farm says now offer a more realistic texture and taste that it believes could rival real meat.

With eye-catching new packaging, the upgraded range also benefits from larger product sizes, providing even more value for money.

A fresh start for Meatless Farm

Founded in 2016, Meatless Farm remains committed to offering delicious, environmentally friendly options for vegans, vegetarians, and flexitarians alike.

After being rescued from administration by VFC in 2023, Meatless Farm joined VFC under Vegan Food Group, a collective of plant-based brands aiming to revolutionise the market.

Now part of a growing movement towards plant-based eating, Meatless Farm continues to offer products that replicate the flavour and nutritional benefits of meat, while being kinder to the planet.

The brand’s recent innovations and product expansions demonstrate its dedication to encouraging more people to switch to plant-based diets.

As Lydia Brook put it, the versatile ranges offer “an environmentally friendly solution that tastes great,” helping more Brits make the switch for both health and environmental benefits.
