One Planet Pizza are blasting off beyond the world of pizzas with the launch of 3 cosmically-tasty ready meals loaded with protein and fibre

With one small step for easy dinners and a giant leap for vegan-kind, Norfolk-based brand One Planet Pizza is branching out from its signature plant-based pizza line with its first-ever range of frozen ready meals.

Founded in 2016 by father-and-son duo Mike and Joe Hill, the independent business passed £1 million in annual retail sales earlier this year and is now marking its 10th anniversary with a series of exciting new launches.

From 12th October, three high-protein vegan ready meals will land exclusively in 276 Asda stores nationwide, priced at £3.85 each. Ready to microwave or oven cook in just 10 minutes, the frozen meals-for-one offer a range of classic comfort foods with a nourishing twist.

New One Planet Pizza ready meals

The new frozen ready meal range from One Planet Pizza includes Tofu Tikka Masala, Mac & Cheeze, and Veg & Lentil Ragù Lasagne.

With 24 grams of plant-based protein and plenty of fibre-rich ingredients, the Tofu Tikka Masala is a nourishing alternative to heavy takeaways or beige weeknight dinners. It features tender tofu chunks in a spiced tikka masala sauce, with sweet potato, cauliflower and edamame beans. And if that wasn’t enough fibre, the side of basmati rice gets a boost from added chana dal lentils.

Meanwhile, the Mac & Cheeze combines macaroni pasta with a rich soya and butter bean cheese-style sauce. This is topped with a crispy vegan cheese crumb, making an uncomplicated, indulgent meal that contains a surprising 22 grams of protein.

Finally, the Veg & Lentil Ragù Lasagne is a hearty, veg-forward pasta dish that packs in 15 grams of protein. Its layers of lasagne sheets are stuffed with a ragù made with lentils, vegetables, and pearl barley, smothered with a silky soya white sauce and a golden vegan cheese topping.

Keeping things local, the meals are made by hand in small batches at a facility in Blackpool, ensuring they retain a homemade feel.

In a statement about the launch, co-founder Joe Hill explained how finding a factory that could keep that personal touch was “one of the biggest challenges for these meals,” and that being able to do that within the UK was “a real bonus.”

“My dad has been making his lentil lasagne for more than 30 years. I grew up eating it, so seeing a dish inspired by those family meals heading into supermarket freezers feels pretty special.

“We wanted to bring that same comfort to the whole range: familiar favourites, big flavours and meals you look forward to eating. Ten years after starting with pizzas in Dad’s kitchen, this is a huge moment for us.”

Where to buy One Planet Pizza products

The company’s expansion does not stop at Asda. One Planet Pizza has also secured a major listing across Iceland’s Food Warehouse, rolling out in January 2027 across all 207 stores. The retailer will stock the brand’s popular Peppernomi pizza for £4 and the Margherita for £3.50.

The new Food Warehouse listings represent a huge win, not just for the brand, but also the vegan food movement in general, as Hill confirmed that the vegan pizzas are more than just a temporary addition to the retailer’s range:

“Food Warehouse has confirmed it’s taking traditional meat and dairy pizzas out of its stores and replacing them with One Planet Pizza products, marking a huge opportunity for the brand and confirming that plant-based is here to stay,” he said.

One Planet Pizzas can already be found in Asda, Morrisons, and Co-op.
