Start Your Veganuary Journey With These PETA Tips

From peta.org

It is difficult to overstate how a vegan lifestyle benefits our planet, our body, and most importantly, the animals who suffer and die to fulfil humanity’s appetite

Reducing the amount of animal-derived products you consume is a proven way to prevent or mitigate obesity, type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Decreasing the number of animals bred and killed each year for meat, milk, skin, and other non-vegan products is the ultimate way to slow climate catastrophe.

Find Endless Products Using PETA’s Ultimate Cruelty-Free List

PETA’s Ultimate Cruelty-Free List is an easy-to-use, searchable database that allows anyone to find cosmetics, personal care items, and household goods that are not tested on animals and do not contain any animal-derived ingredients! The Cruelty-Free page and Bunny Free app (available on Google Play and the Apple Store) help you ensure no animals were harmed in the production of products you love. You can even have a cruelty-free guide shipped to you.

Everyday Activism: Fun and Easy Ideas

Living a vegan lifestyle is unique for each individual: there is no such thing as perfection, and we are all just trying our best. However, a huge part of going vegan is taking action for animals who are suffering at the hands of humans. PETA is constantly working on dozens of urgent campaigns online, but you can also celebrate the month! Be a Veganuary activist by planning your own activism at home!

Chalk The Town

Simply pen your own animal liberation messages on the sidewalk or your driveway using sidewalk chalk. Take it a step further by grabbing an eco-friendly chalk spray to create temporary graffiti art, or use one of PETA’s stencils to “paint” the snow. (Purchasing a PETA Activist Kit will get you a pre-made “I am not a nugget!” stencil.)

This fun activity will get your creative juices flowing, and it’s a great way to get kids involved in Veganuary!

Host a Watch Party

Invite loved ones over for a night of vegan appetizers and Veganuary activism! Select one of dozens of animal liberation-themed films to share and discuss. We suggest “Dominion,” available on multiple platforms; “Breaking the Chain,” available here or on YouTube; “Unbelievably Vegan With Chef Charity” on HBO; “Seaspiracy” on Netflix; “Okja” on Netflix; or The Game Changers on YouTube, but there are countless more options to choose from.

Take Rapid Action for Animals

Speaking up for animals online is one of the quickest and easiest ways to help turn the tide in favour of animal liberation. Please take a moment to learn about the animals used in the dairy industry

Thank you for your compassion for animals.
