Hungary is set to host its first major vegan summit in Budapest on November 22. The Vegan Summit Budapest will reportedly be of “unprecedented scale”, featuring dozens of exhibitors, celebrity guests, and vegan tastings.
Over 600 participants will be invited to listen to inspiring talks, build new connections, and discover high-quality plant-based products. There will also be workshops, giving attendees the opportunity to cook with vegan chefs and influencers.
Speakers and guests will include comedian and environmental activist Gergely Litkai, singer and TV presenter Péter Puskás-Dallos, actor Zsolt Anger, content creator Zsófia Rimóczi, and more. 500 HUF ($1.50) from each ticket will be donated to the Malacvédő Foundation, an organization helping abandoned and abused pigs to find homes.
Partners of the event include Kotányi, Lidl Hungary, Nutridude, The Body Shop Hungary, Lush Hungary, Indigo Express, Napfényes Restaurant, Love Planet Mosólap, Eleplant, and Fino Vegajó. Companies offering vegan-friendly products can apply as exhibitors until early November.

“Truly groundbreaking event”
Awards will also be given out at the summit, honouring those who have made an outstanding contribution to health, sustainability, and compassion for animals. For individuals, the categories are Vegan Ambassador of the Year, Vegan Athlete of the Year, Vegan Gastroblogger of the Year, and Vegan Expert of the Year. The categories for companies are Vegan Gastronomy Experience of the Year, Vegan Product of the Year, and Green Innovation of the Year.
The jury will be composed of Hungarian celebrities and industry leaders, and will be revealed at the end of this month. Winners will be celebrated with an awards ceremony and prizes worth several hundred thousand forints.
“The Vegan Summit Budapest is a truly groundbreaking event,” said Enikő Tóth, chief organizer of the event. “We aim to deliver an exclusive, content-rich experience that surpasses anything the Hungarian vegan community has ever seen. The early recognition and support we’ve received reinforce our belief that we are building something unique and lasting.”
