Does Domino’s sell vegan pizza? The international pizza chain offers many delicious, dedicated vegan options—just not in the U.S. What’s the deal, Domino’s?
What Kinds of Vegan Options Does Domino’s Offer Around the World?
In the United Kingdom and Ireland, Domino’s customers can order the vegan Margeri-tastic and Vegi-Supreme pizzas, or build a unique pie with vegan crust, vegan cheese, and several animal-free toppings and dips.
In Germany, Domino’s celebrates Veganuary every year and according to its website, it offers a whopping 16 vegan options, including a vegan salami pizza, one topped with animal-free curry, and several dessert options.
Domino’s customers in the Netherlands and Belgium can order the Vegan Spicy Pizza or the Vegan Margherita Pizza, or build their own using vegan dough, vegan cheese, and toppings.
In Spain, Domino’s offers three vegan menu-ready vegan pizzas. The Heura’s Varbacoa, a pizza topped with vegan chicken and BBQ sauce, and The Tony Veggeroni, topped with a vegan jackfruit-based pepperoni, knock it out of the park with vegan meat options. The Veggiña, a vegan cheese and tomato sauce pie topped with mushrooms, black olives, onion, and green pepper, keeps it classic.
In New Zealand, two vegan pizzas are on the menu: the Vegan Vegorama and the Vegan Veg Trio. Both pies are topped with vegan cheese and a variety of vibrant veggies.
But What About the U.S.? Dominos, Please, We Need Vegan Cheese
In the U.S., Domino’s still doesn’t offer vegan cheese. Instead, all of its ready-to-order pizzas are topped with cheese made from cow’s milk. Just like humans, cows only produce milk to feed their babies.
On dairy farms, cows are repeatedly forcibly impregnated by workers. Workers tear newborn calves from their mothers shortly after birth so that humans can consume their milk instead. Some mother cows call for their calves for days after being traumatically separated.
Domino’s has made it clear they can make a delicious array of vegan meals, so please join our call to let the pizza chain know we want vegan cheese, too!
