“First-ever” high protein, soya-free vegan yoghurt hits shelves with 23g protein per pot

From veganfoodandliving.com

A new vegan protein yoghurt range from Nush offers up to 23g of protein per pot, with five flavours now available across UK retailers.

Nush has relaunched its dairy- and soya-free yoghurt range with a higher protein content and a richer, creamier texture.

Each pot now includes a minimum of 16g of plant-based protein, with the ‘Natural’ flavour reaching 23g per 350g pot. The yoghurts also contain 28 billion live vegan cultures per serving.

Made using the brand’s almond drink and sustainably grown fava beans, the updated range aims to support plant-based eaters looking to increase their protein intake without compromising on flavour.

The range includes five flavours: Natural, Strawberry, Raspberry, Blueberry, and the newly introduced Vanilla Fudge.

The new flavour is sweetened with an all-natural vanilla fudge sauce and contains 19g of protein per 350g pot. It joins the line-up as a vegan dessert option for those who want a sweet but protein-rich treat.

Available in 120g pots (£1.90) and 350g pots (£3.25), the Nush Protein Almond Yogs can be found in Waitrose, Sainsbury’s, Marks & Spencer, Ocado, Whole Foods Market, Planet Organic, and independent health shops.

Charity partnership supports breast cancer care

In addition to the new vegan protein yoghurt range, Nush has announced a new initiative supporting breast cancer charity Future Dreams. For every Strawberry and Raspberry Protein Yog sold, 5p will be donated to the UK-based charity.

Future Dreams offers support for those affected by breast cancer and funds research into secondary breast cancer.

The collaboration follows Nush co-founder Bethany Eaton’s own diagnosis with Triple Positive Breast Cancer in 2024, making the cause especially personal to the brand.

In addition to financial donations, Nush will provide its full product range for events, workshops and daily use at Future Dreams House, a London-based support hub.

This initiative forms part of Nush’s broader commitment to community support, alongside its efforts to improve access to nutritious plant-based food.

Vegan protein yoghurt joins Nush’s growing range

Nush was founded in 2016 by husband-and-wife team Bethany and Paul Eaton, who launched the brand after spotting a lack of dairy- and soya-free yoghurt options in UK supermarkets.

Drawing on Bethany’s background as a nutritionist, the pair created a range made with almond milk and natural fruit ingredients.

The newly updated yoghurts are the first in the UK to be both soya-free and high in protein, offering a plant-based option for those seeking a nutritional boost without dairy or soya.

The protein yoghurts are designed to meet a range of needs, whether as a breakfast, snack or dessert, and offer a thicker, more indulgent texture compared to previous formulations.

The relaunch marks a significant step forward in Nush’s commitment to offering dairy-free alternatives that don’t compromise on nutrition or taste.
