Vegan Events UK is bringing its popular Vegan Festival back to Glasgow for its seventh year, on Saturday, October 12 to Hutchesons’ At Pollok Park
Anyone looking for inspiration or finding out more about the plant-based lifestyle, then the Glasgow Vegan Festival is rolling into town this month.
The organisers are delighted to be celebrating its seventh year and say it's ideal for families as under-16s go free.
Glasgow Vegan Festival features over 70 fantastic stalls, including a huge selection of cooked foods, pies, cakes, chocolates, sandwiches and salads, beauty and skincare products, candles, cheeses, jewellery, crafts, healthy treats, sweet treats, clothing, drinks, juices, smoothies and charity merchandise from 10.30 am to 4.30 pm at Hutchesons’ At Pollok Park.
The team say there will be products you won’t find in the supermarket, recipes, nutritional advice and budget cooking ideas, free samples, talks, cookery demonstrations and much more.
Festival organiser, Victoria Bryceson, said: “I’m really excited about this year’s Glasgow Vegan Festival. We have more stalls this year, so it promises to be bigger and better than ever.
"I’m expecting it to be a sell-out. I’m sure that people in Glasgow and the surrounding area will enjoy the stalls, talks, workshops and atmosphere. We look forward to welcoming everyone, not just vegans, to the event. Our goal is to continue to bring vegans and non-vegans together, to support local vegan business, and to show just how easy it is to be vegan.”
Featured stalls include Glasgow’s Anderson Aromatics and Miracle’s Mission. Anderson Aromatics make 100% vegan, all natural skincare and toiletries, while Miracle’s Mission is a non-profit animal welfare organisation that works with sick, injured and difficult animals.
Its mission is to provide a place of safety for animals in danger, to educate on the need for neutering both pets and strays and to neuter stray dogs and cats to prevent the birth of more dogs and cats onto the streets.
