The UK's Legendary Vegan Fried Chicken brand has announced its launch to the US by recreating iconic American film scenes
The UK’s hottest vegan chicken brand, VFC, is launching in the US and Canada.
To celebrate the launch, VFC has recreated a series of images from America’s most iconic film scenes.
The marketing campaign features film scenes from Ghost and When Harry Met Sally.
Moreover, VFC was founded by Veganuary founder Matthew Glover and restauranteur Adam Lyons.
VFC’s US launch
VFC is renowned for its hilarious marketing tactics and its latest campaign is no exception.
The VFC US launch was announced last month on the brand’s Instagram page, posting a reimagined image of the American Gothic painting feature a vegan nugget on the pitchfork.
Additionally, the recent image series features Adam Lyons and his partner in the iconic scene from Ghost. Replacing the clay for vegan fried chicken, very romantic.
The second image features the vegan couple imitating THAT scene from the classic When Harry Met Sally.
We even spotted a cameo from vegan activist Earthling Ed.
Following its launch in 2020, the British company raised an impressive £2.5 million in funding to grow VFC.
In a statement, Matthew Glover said: “The United States and Canada have always been on our Must-Have list as chicken consumption in both countries is so high, and we’re delighted to have got there within a year of launch.
“We’re working with the very best people who will get VFC out to the widest audience, while we keep growing and expanding to new parts of the world.”
Vegan Fried Chicken movement
VFC certainly know how to spread the word about vegan fried chicken.
Since its launch in 2020, the brand has gained a cult following on social media. Not only does the brand post hilarious vegan content, but it also spreads awareness of the cruelty in animal agriculture.
In a previous statement to Vegan Food & Living, Glover explained: “I am a businessman turned activist, and VFC is very much a marriage of the two. There are many ways to dismantle unjust systems, and we intend VFC to be part of the movement that puts an end to factory farming for good.”
We are so excited for the rest of the world to taste VFC’s vegan magic.
