Australia: There's a new Vegan Mac & Cheese on the block & it's perfect for a quick dinner

From newideafood.com.au

It's both gluten-free and dairy-free!

KraftHeinz Australia has launched a Vegan Mac & Cheese so it's time to get busy in the kitchen.

Kraft's classic Mac & Cheese now comes in a vegan version, which means it's also gluten-free and dairy-free. It's also said to taste just as good as the original version - but it's made with rice flour, dairy-free cheese, cornmeal and rice starch.

The new product is available via Woolworths supermarkets across the nation, coming in at a price of $3.99.

You'll be able to spot the new Kraft Vegan Mac & Cheese from its distinctive Kraft packaging colours, with clear Vegan and Gluten Free callouts on pack.

Chief Marketing Officer for Australia Shane Kent said that he is very excited to be the first in the company globally to bring a Vegan Mac & Cheese to the market.

“Over the last 18 months, we have been on a journey to extend our range of products in line with changing consumer preferences and this is just one example of many things to come,” Shane said.

If you're looking to try your hand at some Mac & Cheese recipes with this new product, TikTok food guru Audrey Lim has shared her ultimate 'Hot Cheetos Deep-Fried Mac & Cheese Balls' recipe.

Involving just a few easy and simple steps, the end result is home-made Mac & Cheese rolled up into a ball, coated with Hot Cheetos, and deep fried for a perfect snack.
